Current Project — Psychologlyph
Psychologlyph®, a visual language of relational, emotional & mental Health (REM Health).
Psychologlyph images function by illustrating how energy moves in different emotions and relational dynamics, providing a tangible and visual shortcut that catalyzes learning and aids in retention of concepts and practical applications of adaptive skill building. (That means it helps new skills stick, even in those stressful moments when it really counts).
Psychologlyphs teach the archetypal gesture of dynamics, and include aspects that are fixed and aspects that are mutable. This means that users can understand core concepts, and still have the versatility to adjust the glyphs to describe their personal and unique experience. This assists in bringing relational assessment into a meeting space of both objective and subjective analysis.
Anna brings to the project over a decade of study and practice in psychology and trauma healing. She is supported by a team of advisors who provide peer review for accuracy. These consultants include practicing licensed clinicians and psychologists, educators, neurologists, healing specialists, and parents of young children.
Psychologlyph is ideal for the 65% of the global population who are visual learners, and for those who are experiential learners, as the language quickly advances into exploring how emotions and dynamics look and feel in the body, in behaviors and in dialogue.
Beginning with images before language, Psychologlyph can be helpful in bridging access gaps, making relational, emotional and mental wellness material more accessible regardless of age, education level, learning style, and even language barriers. This improved understanding for such a broad range of populations can support the development of a healthy sense of self, and an improved ability to connect in relationships, collaborations, and conflict resolution throughout and across communities.
With the goal of helping individuals to identify, prevent, and treat relational abuse and trauma, Anna began developing Psychologlyph in 2018. In the years since its conception, the language has grown to well over 200 images, including grammar and syntax. When paired with accompanying text and lessons, the educational materials provide an invaluable psycho-education and social emotional learning tool for clinicians and educators.
Psychologlyph is being released in phases. The current phase is an App which houses the Psychologlyph library. The app is designed for use by clinicians, teachers, parents, and individuals pursuing personal and relational improvement.
